There are some Satanists that believe that to be a Satanist you only have to know how to do either the Rituals shown in Dr. LaVey's Satanic Bible or his companion book : The Satanic Rituals, or other Satanic Bibles etc. In truth there are a great many more actual Satanic rituals that are not published anywhere.

This includes hundreds of rituals that one must learn to do properly with such examples like the Satanic Baptism, Satanic Dedication, Satanic Initiation, Ordination or Initiation into Satanic Priesthood, Satanic Marriage, Satanic Coven Rituals, Satanic chanting as well as a host of other rituals such as the many versions of the Satanic Mass. 

The most knowledgeable of Satanists have both studied & practiced many rituals from all of the Dark Arts and they have Mastered them.  Satanic rites and rituals came from many sources. 

Being a Theistic Satanist I am not a follower of the Atheistic Satanism of Anton LaVey or his Church of Satan, but I still study and read his work with great interest, as I do with any other Satanic authors, even if I have a different perspective or different experience. 

For the best way forward in a Satanic Path it is best to study & practice not only the Satanic Philosophy and Rituals but also study & practice any other Occult Art which you have a drawing toward.

 If you have the intuition about a Dark Art subject, follow your own True Will about it.

Learn it all.  BECOME a Satanist of great knowledge. "Knowledge is Power". Hold the Knowledge and hold the Power !  Doing this will bring you closer to Satan's own best teacher : EXPERIENCE.

Great experience only comes from one direction:  ongoing usage of the Dark Arts, safely and consciously applied, will give you practical experience.  Wisdom equals practical experience combined with applied learning and thoughtful reflection. The rewards are great if one can do this.  This takes time and great effort.
