As you should. We do need to police ourselves. Because no one does actual research on things (even though it's easier than ever), many think Satanism is what Falwell and Robertson sold to the public back in the 1980's (in reality it was an amalgamation of all the violence, blood-letting and destruction from Judeo-Christian history). Just as there are those who call themselves Christian even though their behavior is a far distance form what Jesus or Paul describes. so too Satanism has its share of those who know nothing about the beliefs they profess and their behavior shows it.

Even as sex focused as I tend to be, I am aware of the Intellectual development side of Satanism and work to continue that as well. If a member hasn't read the tenants of Satanism on the Church of Satan website or the core beliefs of the Satanic Temple website, they need to do this so they may be better informed about what it is they actually believe.
