My First Impressions of Malick Zaldron's "The Satanic Path" (No Spoilers)

My First Impressions of Malick Zaldron's "The Satanic Path" (No Spoilers)

I've recently started reading Malick Zaldron's "The Satanic Path" (which is available to paying GSB members) and wanted to share a few thoughts—not as a review or summary, but hopefully as a way to encourage discussion among those who have read it.

One thing that immediately struck me is that this isn't primarily a ritual book. It asks readers to step back and consider some of the biggest questions that underlie Satanism before ever worrying about magical practice.

Rather than assuming everyone shares the same understanding of Satanism, Malik spends considerable time examining ideas such as:

  • What is Satanism?

  • What does it actually mean to walk the Left-Hand Path?

  • How should we think about Satan?

  • What role do magic, philosophy, and personal experience play in spiritual development?

Throughout the work, I found an emphasis on thinking critically and developing one's own understanding rather than simply accepting inherited definitions.

The book feels less like a collection of answers and more like an invitation to wrestle with fundamental questions that every Satanist eventually encounters.

One thing I particularly appreciated is that the material seems intended to build a philosophical foundation before moving into practical work. It gave me the impression that understanding why we practice is just as important as learning how we practice.

For those who have read Malick's "The Satanic Path":

  • What ideas stayed with you after reading it?

  • Did it change how you think about Satanism?

  • Were there concepts that challenged your previous assumptions?

  • What sections did you find the most thought-provoking?

I'd enjoy hearing what others took away from it.
