The story of the Gay Satanic Brotherhood (GSB) is over fifteen years old and has been long and difficult, like a long book made up of happy and sad chapters. Different ideas, different communities, different cultures and different people have contributed to this name over the years, each according to his own possibilities. Many attempts have failed along the way, mainly because of increasing web censorship and the growing reluctance of hosting services and online platforms to deal with adult and controversial content, which has led to the disappearance of many websites, communities and spaces, sometimes leaving little or nothing behind. Three years ago, GSB was re-founded once again, this time as a professional website with its own domain and resources, with the hope that this would provide a sufficiently solid foundation to guarantee it a future. That hope remains unchanged today. Nothing on the internet should ever be taken for granted, especially a place like this one, and GSB can exist only as long as it continues to be built, maintained, protected and supported.

The purpose of GSB is to create a place that can become a reference web community for Gay Satanist men around the world and, ultimately, contribute to the end of solitude that so often surrounds this experience. Satanism, especially in the gay world, is very often an inner mark that a man carries with him: a dark and sometimes unmentionable secret that rarely finds the opportunity to emerge completely. The ordinary Gay Satanist may live much of his satanic experience in solitude. He may suspect that other men like him exist, but have no idea where to find them or how to reach them; his experience may become fragmented, alternating between intense periods of exploration and periods of rejection, doubt or inactivity, while thoughts, desires, fantasies, beliefs and experiences that could be shared with others remain confined to his own private world. GSB wants to help break that isolation, allowing Gay Satanist men to find one another, share experiences, points of view, knowledge and contacts, and discover that what each of us experiences alone may also exist in countless different forms in other men.

But meeting other Brothers is only one part of this purpose. Some come here looking for people, some for knowledge, some for stories, images, rituals, ideas, discussions or simply curiosity. Some want to explore their satanic perversion more deeply, understand the path they want to follow and put their feelings, desires and conscience in order; others may only be beginning to understand what Satanism means to them. There is no single correct way to experience GSB, just as there is no single way to experience Satanism. GSB does not exist to turn every member into the same kind of Satanist, but to provide a place in which every Brother can explore what Satanism means to him, discover what others have found along their own paths and decide for himself how far he wants to go. For some, this may remain a small part of their lives; for others, it may become the beginning of a much deeper path of personal growth, discovery and transformation. Every Satanist should ultimately have something toward which to direct his will, his own Sinister Goal. Some Brothers already know theirs when they arrive, while others may still be searching for it. GSB should provide knowledge, experiences, ideas and tools that can help a Brother pursue his goal, or perhaps discover one for the first time, without ever deciding that goal for him.

The goal of GSB is to build and feed a worldwide network of Gay Satanists, to help new followers approach their experience in a constructive and positive way and to progressively erase the loneliness that surrounds it. GSB wants to be the stone on which to build an immense infernal Castle, in which everyone can find a good room to live in and express his personal satanic depravity. That Castle is not finished and probably never will be: every room that is opened reveals the possibility of another one, and every Brother who enters can bring something that did not exist before. With respect for the numerous variations of Satanism and with the will to preserve and enhance the thousand different ways in which we give meaning to “Satan” and “Satanism”, we remain convinced that in Satanism diversity is a richness and that every personal contribution can be another brick in the construction of this immense Castle, a home for everyone. GSB can provide knowledge, ideas and paths to explore, but ultimately every Brother remains responsible for discovering his own Satanism, defining his own desires and deciding what he wants to pursue.

GSB is free, as per tradition in the history of this community, because we remain convinced that this is the way to achieve our goal. Belonging to the Brotherhood, meeting other Brothers and participating in the community do not have a price and must never depend on money. It takes, and will continue to take, a great deal of time, work and resources to build and maintain this place, but repaying that effort is not GSB's goal. GSB is independently financed and depends on the voluntary support of the people who believe that what is being built here deserves to continue existing. No rent is paid in the hellish Castle we want to build, and naturally we trust in the generosity of those who want to take a room here; but generosity does not exist only in money. Participate, write, comment, share something, help another Brother, bring an idea, an experience or a part of yourself into this place. A comment, content or post on the GSB pages will always be worth more than $1. Those who choose to support the project financially help GSB pay its costs, remain independent, develop new material, maintain what already exists and continue adding new rooms to the Castle. As a form of gratitude, some special contents and resources may be reserved for those who choose to support GSB through donations, but they are a thank-you for that support, not the price of belonging to the Brotherhood, and they do not make one Brother more important than another.

What do you have to do? Participate in the community, complete and enrich your profile, let other Brothers know that you exist and allow them to find you. Read what others have written and write something of your own. Ask questions, exchange experiences, join Groups, explore the knowledge, stories, images and ideas collected within GSB. If you want to go deeper, deepen your Satanic Path, question yourself, discover what attracts you, what frightens you, what excites you and what you want to become; find your Sinister Goal and pursue it, or begin looking for one. Donate if you want. Build relationships, friendships and networks. Release your lustful, sinful perversions. Meet the Brothers you've met here. Take those connections beyond the screen when you both want to. Have satanic sex with them. Have fun, in and out of here. Do as much or as little as you want, but remember that GSB does not exist independently of the men who inhabit it: every Brother who participates becomes part of the thing itself. You are one of the Brothers laying the stones.
