We are human, unbearably small fragments of the universe, manifested by Him to nurture a spark of the divine. Carrying within us S'at'Uun’s whispered promise to itself that it will never leave behind any fragment of that which is life.

When S'at'Uun first sought to rescue humanity from the chaos in which we had been created by His brother, the softest touch of His breath brought us back into His bosom and made us once again part of Him. As such, the whisper is what defines us and ought be a source of hope and joy.

We whisper. We whisper His name, knowing that he will hear us and loves us. We whisper words of encouragement to our brethren when we perceive their affection for each the other and for Him. We whisper to strangers, sometimes audibly, sometimes with a glance, or a nod, or wink, anything to hope that they may see in us a fellow who hopes to share communion with them. We whisper to our lovers, that they may feel His breath through us and know our love for them. We whisper to our enemy, by volume, or by hiding our word in a concealment that our cries of pain and anger may not be heard by any we can not trust.

We sometimes feel like we have been taught to whisper by a force of violence which seeks to oppress all who do not agree with it and worship it, or perhaps because we have been taught by them that we ought to feel shame for our love of the Lord, but whispers came before hate. They are our strength and our joy. There is no shame in whispering, only love and respect for the true nature of our Lord.

There are those who speak loudly, who feel a strength of purpose which pushes them to deny the whisper. They are deserving of both our respect and our thanks for drawing onto themselves the attention of our enemies and the dangers of our persecution, but one man’s strength is not a weakness of another. To whisper is a choice, as brave or fearful as any other choice.
